Dark streaks on asphalt shingles are caused by airborne algae that thrives in the Gulf Coast’s heat and humidity. Beyond making a roof look older than it is, the growth holds moisture and can shorten shingle life. The fix isn’t high pressure — that knocks granules loose and can void warranties — it’s a soft-wash roof treatment that kills the growth and lets rain finish the job.

We also clean the outside of gutters, removing the grey and black “tiger stripes” that ordinary rinsing won’t touch, and flush downspouts while we’re up there.

Asphalt shingles are covered in protective granules. High pressure strips those granules away, shortening the life of the roof and often voiding the manufacturer’s warranty. Soft washing uses solution to do the work instead of force, so your roof comes out clean without the damage.
