ADA & Fire Lane Striping

Accessible parking and fire lanes are the markings inspectors and fire marshals look at first. We paint them bright, clear and to the layout your property needs.

Faded handicap stalls and fire lanes aren’t just a cosmetic issue — they can lead to confused drivers, blocked emergency access, and problems during inspections. Keeping them bright and clearly marked is one of the easiest ways to protect your property and your visitors.

ResCom paints accessible stalls, international symbols of accessibility, striped access aisles, fire lanes with “FIRE LANE – NO PARKING” lettering, and emergency vehicle zones for businesses, churches, schools, apartments and HOAs across the Bay Area.

Getting the layout right

The number, size and location of accessible stalls — and where fire lanes are required — depend on your lot and on local rules. Requirements come from the ADA Standards, Texas accessibility standards and your local fire marshal. If your city or fire marshal has given you specific requirements, send them over and we’ll paint to spec. If you’re unsure what your lot needs, we recommend confirming with your city before new layout work.

Part of a complete striping job

ADA and fire lane markings are usually done alongside a full parking lot restripe. We can also pressure wash the lot beforehand so the paint bonds and lasts.

ADA & Fire Lane Striping FAQs

Can you add handicap stalls to an existing lot?

Yes. We can convert existing stalls into accessible stalls with access aisles and symbols. Keep in mind signage and slope requirements also apply to accessible parking.

What color are fire lanes painted?

Fire lanes are typically marked in red with white “FIRE LANE – NO PARKING” lettering, but requirements vary by city and fire marshal. We’ll paint to your local requirements.

Do you install signs too?

Our focus is pavement and curb markings. Let us know if you need signage and we can point you in the right direction.

How long does ADA striping take?

Adding or refreshing a few accessible stalls is usually a short job that can be finished in a few hours, including dry time.
